Corrections are the most useful thing you can send us. Questions are the second most useful, because they tell us what to write next.

What to send

  • A correction. If something here is wrong, tell us which page and which line. We check it against the primary source and fix it in place, with a dated note when the correction changes a recommendation. Our correction process.
  • A question we have not answered. Reader questions decide what gets written next, and if a question comes up more than once it becomes a page.
  • A missing glossary term. If you hit a piece of jargon we did not define, that is a five-minute fix that makes the next person's life easier. The glossary.
  • A product we should cover, particularly one with a properly published specification sheet.

What we cannot help with

We are not electricians and we cannot size your circuit, approve your installation, or tell you whether your specific panel can take a charger. That work needs someone licensed who can look at your house -- what to ask them.

We also cannot help with warranty claims, orders or returns for any product mentioned here. We do not sell anything; those go to the manufacturer or the retailer.
