What this site collects, what it does not, and what you can do about it. Written to be read.

Last updated: September 8, 2026. This policy explains what data plugandpylon.com collects and what happens to it. It is written to be read rather than to be legally impenetrable.
The short version
- We do not ask you to create an account, and there is nothing to log into.
- We use Google Analytics to see which pages get read.
- If you use the contact form, we receive what you type in it.
- Affiliate links tell Amazon you arrived from here.
- We do not sell your data, because we do not have anything worth selling.
What we collect
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. It sets cookies and collects standard web analytics data: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site.
We also record an event when someone clicks an affiliate link, so we can see which recommendations are useful. That event records the merchant, the destination URL and the page it was clicked from. It does not record anything about you personally.
Google's own handling of this data is governed by Google's privacy policy, linked in the sources below.
The contact form
If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you enter. It is delivered to us by email at info@plugandpylon.com. We use it to reply to you and, where you are reporting a correction, to fix the page. We do not add you to any mailing list -- there is no mailing list.
The form applies a per-IP rate limit to prevent automated abuse. That holds an IP address in memory for up to an hour and is not stored anywhere persistent.
Server logs
This site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, for security and operational purposes, under its own policies.
Affiliate links
Product links here route through our own /go redirect and then to Amazon with our Associates tag attached. That tells Amazon you arrived from this site, which is how a commission is attributed. Amazon's own privacy policy governs what happens after you land there. How the links work.
What we do not do
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No newsletter. We collect no email addresses except through the contact form.
- No advertising network. No display ads, no retargeting pixels, no ad-tech tags.
- No selling or sharing of personal data with anyone, for any purpose.
- No social media tracking pixels.
Cookies
The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies. There is no cookie for logins, preferences or advertising, because there are no logins, preferences or advertising.
You can block them in your browser settings, or with Google's own opt-out browser add-on. The site works normally either way -- nothing here depends on analytics.
Your choices
- Block cookies in your browser, or use its private browsing mode.
- Use Google's opt-out add-on to prevent Google Analytics collection entirely.
- Enable Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser.
- Ask us to delete a contact form message by emailing us. We will delete it.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the page rather than made silently.
Contact
