The ZDX, Acura's only EV, uses CCS and can reach NACS networks with a Honda-approved adapter. At home, a J1772 charger plugs straight in.

The connector
An adapter for NACS networks exists because the ZDX's own port is CCS, whose AC section is a J1772 inlet. At home, that makes the answer simple: any J1772 Level 2 charger connects directly, with nothing in between.

Choosing the charger
Check the AC charging rate in your manual and match it. For daily driving, a 40 A charger on a 50 A circuit replaces a long day overnight; go bigger only if the car can use it and your panel can carry it. 32 A vs 40 A vs 48 A.

1. A first charger, hardwired
