The best home charger for a Honda Prologue
Every Prologue so far uses a CCS port, so home charging is simple. The confusion is Honda's NACS adapter, which is for DC fast charging only.

The connector
The Prologue uses the Combined Charging System, which puts a J1772 inlet for AC charging above two pins for DC fast charging. Every Prologue so far, including the 2026 model, still comes with that CCS port. For home charging, that means the simplest possible answer: any J1772 Level 2 charger connects directly.
Start with the kit in the car
Dealers describe every new 2026 Prologue as coming with a portable charging kit: two 25-foot cords, one for a regular 120-volt outlet and one for a 240-volt appliance outlet. Honda describes its portable charger as working from either. So before buying a wall unit, use the kit for a few weeks: on 120 volts it may keep up with your driving, and a suitable 240-volt outlet where you park gives you Level 2 from the same kit. Check which 240-volt outlet the cord fits before anyone installs one. Do you need a Level 2 charger.

If you want a permanent wall unit instead of plugging in the kit, a J1772 Level 2 charger connects directly, and Honda quotes up to 34.1 miles of range per hour on a Level 2 240-volt charger. Check the AC charging rate in your owner's manual before choosing amperage -- a charger above your car's onboard limit charges no faster today. How many amps do you need.

1. A first charger, hardwired
