The connector

CarGurus reports that the updated 2025 Ioniq 5 was the first Hyundai to come standard with a native NACS port, and that it is joined by the Ioniq 9 three-row crossover SUV. SimpleSwitch's 2026 list agrees that the Ioniq 9 launches with NACS support.

How big a charger

A three-row battery takes longer to refill than a compact's, which is the honest case for a 48 A unit on a 60 A circuit -- but only if the Ioniq 9's onboard charger accepts that much. The AC charging rate is in the manual. The 48-amp picks.
