Both are far more than a typical day's driving. The gap matters if you tow, drive long distances daily, or share the charger.

The circuit is part of the price

The Grizzl-E needs a 50-amp circuit; the Home Flex at full output needs 60. On a panel with limited headroom, that difference can be the difference between a straightforward install and a subpanel. Factor it in with the install cost calculator rather than comparing sticker prices alone.

Weather

1. Harsh weather and no app

Grizzl-E Classic

Grizzl-E if your car handles its own charging schedule and you would rather own a machine than a subscription-adjacent device -- especially if it lives outside in a cold place. Home Flex if your panel capacity is uncertain, or you want charging data and scheduling in one app.

The Home Flex, at up to 50 A / 12 kW against the Grizzl-E's 40 A / 9.6 kW. That is roughly eight miles of range per hour, or 80 miles over a ten-hour night.
Does the Grizzl-E have an app?
No. Its amperage is set with physical switches at installation, which is deliberate and is the main reason people choose it.
Which is better for cold weather?
