The best home charger for a Lexus RZ

The refreshed 2026 RZ has a native NACS port and, per published lists, an 11 kW onboard charger -- enough to use nearly all of a 48-amp home charger. Earlier RZs use CCS.

The connector, by model year

CarGurus describes the refreshed 2026 RZ as coming with a native NACS charging interface, and notes that older versions can connect to NACS networks with an adapter. SimpleSwitch calls the RZ the first Lexus EV with a native NACS port and adds a bump to 11 kW onboard AC charging.

Why 48 amps makes sense on a 2026 RZ

Matching the charger to an 11 kW onboard charger

11 kW / 240 V = about 46 A of charging current

A 48 A charger (11.5 kW) can deliver nearly all of it

A 40 A charger (9.6 kW) caps the car below its limit

For an earlier RZ, check the manual -- the 11 kW figure is for the 2026 model

That is the honest case for the top tier: the car can actually use it. A 48 A charger needs a 60 A circuit, so check your panel first -- breaker and wire size.
