The best EV chargers for a NEMA 6-50 outlet

A NEMA 6-50 is a 50-amp, 250-volt outlet with no neutral, and many garages already have one. Two wall units come with a 6-50 plug, and one portable reaches it with an adapter.

For a Level 2 charger, a 6-50 does the same job as the more common 14-50: both sit on a 50 A circuit and both allow 40 A of continuous charging. The catch is the plug.
