If you have decided you want an adjustable charger -- the right call when your panel's spare capacity is uncertain -- these are the two serious options. They are close enough that the decision comes down to physical constraints rather than performance.

Three questions that settle it
- Do you have space? If the wall is narrow, the Pulsar Plus at under eight inches square wins outright.
- Do you want to unplug it and take it with you? Then the Home Flex, because it is sold in a NEMA 14-50 version and the 48 A Pulsar Plus is hardwired.
- How long is your run? 25 feet against 23 feet. Measure it properly -- if you are near the limit this decides it.
The amperage difference is not the point
50 A vs 48 A
Home Flex at 50 A: 12.0 kW, about 42 miles per hour
Pulsar Plus at 48 A: 11.5 kW, about 40 miles per hour
Difference: roughly 20 miles over a 10-hour night
And the 50 A setting needs more circuit than most panels have to spare.
