Emporia Pro vs Wallbox Pulsar Plus
Both can watch your whole house and back off when it is busy. One puts the monitor in the box; the other sells it separately. For a panel near its limit, that is the whole comparison.

If a load calculation says your panel cannot carry a full 60 A EV circuit, these are two of the most direct answers: chargers that read your home's total consumption and slow down before the service limit is reached. The difference is in what you buy to make that happen.

How each one manages load
Emporia describes PowerSmart as using real-time readings from the Vue monitor in your panel to adjust the charger's output and keep total use under your service limit; it says the Pro works even with older 60 or 100 amp services. Wallbox describes Dynamic Load Management the same way -- when overall consumption is high, charging slows; when it drops, charging speeds back up -- and it needs a Wallbox Power Meter installed. The other differences
- What comes in the box. The Pro includes its monitor; the Wallbox's is an extra purchase and an extra part to install.
- Energy data. The Vue 3 also monitors individual circuits across your home. Emporia Vue vs Sense.
- Size. The Pulsar Plus is compact -- 7.8 x 7.9 x 3.9 inches without the cable.
- Plug-in option. Emporia sells the Pro with a NEMA 14-50 plug at 40 A as well as hardwired.
